This line of Professional Traps was developed for the wildlife professional and incorporates several product enhancements for increased safety, performance and durability. Safeguard Professional Traps are available in Front Release or Rear Release models for easier baiting and a safer release process.

Extremely well made
The mechanism work really well but the trip plate can be a little 'sticky" when the trap is new. I talked to a professional trapper who uses this exact trap and he said they leave their new traps out in the weather for 2 months before using them. I had a raccoon walk in steal the bait without tripping the trap. He suggested a spot to oil where the plate pivots and also to tie an apple inside the trap so the raccoon has to move around move more and likely then trip the trap. Easy to use
The cage is well-built and very easy to set up. You don’t have to worry about the animal destroying it. to release the animal is very simple. Just lift up the back door, and the animal goes out on its own. Works well with raccoons and groundhogs. - Tommy
